We Are Not Numbers
In the current war, we have questioned our work and wondered whether stories of hopes and dreams are even appropriate in the face of excessive brutality and death. We also grieve the loss of friends and members of our photographers’ collective in Gaza. But we decided that particularly in these times of heightened hatred and dehumanization, we want to carry on with our approach to reinforce our claim to dignity and freedom, alongside all peoples of the world. Therefore, we launched the campaign “We Are Not Numbers” about the lives of people who were killed. In addition, the exhibition “Gaza: Hope and Loss” includes their stories in the broader Untold Palestine narrative.
