Storytelling for Change session with Suhail Nassar.
Suhail is a visual storyteller from Gaza, Palestine. Since October 7th, his focus has shifted to illustrating the effects of war on the daily lives of Palestinians in Gaza, highlighting not only their suffering but also their resilience and survival in the face of the unimaginable. Images have the power not only to document reality but to move people, shift perspectives, and inspire action. In this talk, Nassar shares insights from his documentary work and reflects on the role of photographers as witnesses of their time. Through stories from the field, the session explores how visual storytelling can amplify unheard voices, preserve memory, and encourage audiences to engage with the world around them.
