Abdel Majid Younes, a 73-year-old resident of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, has passionately collected stamps since 1936. Amassing over 10,000 vintage postage stamps, meticulously organized in 20 handmade albums of his own design, Younes's collection spans countries globally, with a special affection for those from Palestine and Egypt. The stamps narrate diverse stories—cultural, literary, artistic, political, and revolutionary—reflecting snapshots of each nation and a specific era. Amid the challenges of besieged Gaza, working in a pharmacy, Younes views his stamp collection as a personal window to the world, providing him the joy of exploration and a visual record of his imagined travels.
