Ramez Awwad’s mother speaks about her son’s time in detention. The Palestinian photojournalist was detained on August 30, 2024.
Two years after his detention, Ramez was released from Israeli prisons in late August 2026 and finally returned to his family.
Today, we are republishing his story to celebrate his freedom.
